The minister said an internal bickering within the state Board of School Education (BOSE) could be one of the reasons for the recent controversy.
Claiming of being a victim of conspiracies in the past too, Sayeed said, "In 2008 a conspiracy was hatched to defame me. I had offered to resign then also as Pradesh Congress Committee president. The high command, however, didn't accept my resignation like this time," he said.
The minister also claimed the recent debacle of the Congress party in Uttar Pradesh and Punjab assembly elections "will not have any impact on J&K Congress."
