Will the city crumble under its own weight?

Residents of the city have to face a number of problems. Bearing with damaged roads is one of them. Most of the city roads are in bad shape. Though these roads are repaired, within two-three months, they are dotted with potholes.

The situation is worse in Sector 47. Damaged roads opposite Today Blossom and M2K have not been repaired for years. In Sector 45, there exists no road. Safety of locals is another problem. Criminals strike in the city at will. We hear about the incidents of carjacking and chain snatching almost everyday.

Even I faced this problem when my wife’s chain was snatched last month. I was shocked when a DCP told me that police were helpless due to inadequate funds and manpower.

I think traffic is a big concern for the people of this city. We have to face jams everyday. Though traffic police have taken some measures, still a lot needs to be done. Besides, erratic power supply has made our lives miserable. What will happen when more buildings will be constructed? Will the city crumble?

At last, I am impressed with Huda’s new administrator Praveen Kumar, who is doing his duty from the very first day of joining the post.
