According to information, a pregnant woman Asha Mehra, wife of Revashankar Mehra was taking treatment from Dr (Ms) Kamlesh Kumre, posted at Janseva hospital and also practicing from her residence. Four days ago, the woman experienced excess bleeding and reported to Dr Kamlesh Kumre at her residence.
The doctor asked for Rs 5,000 for delivery the same day. Doctor turned away the woman after she refused to give money, Revashankar Mehra alleged.
The woman was admitted to Janseva hospital on January 19 where she delivered a child the same day. However, she died six hours after the delivery. Woman’s husband had submitted a written complaint to Hospital superintendent Dr Zia against Dr Kamlesh Kumre. Dr Kumre, however, claims she had no involvement in the case.
