Woman robbed of cash, mobile in Arera Colony

A WOMAN was robbed of Rs 16,000 cash and her cell phone in Arera Colony on Sunday late evening. The complainant, Reeta Singh, 45,a resident of E-7, Arera Colony, was on her way back home from 10 Number Market when a motorcycle-borne youth came from behind, snatched the bag and fled in a jiffy.

A WOMAN was robbed of Rs 16,000 cash and her cell phone in Arera Colony on Sunday late evening. The complainant, Reeta Singh, 45,a resident of E-7, Arera Colony, was on her way back home from 10 Number Market when a motorcycle-borne youth came from behind, snatched the bag and fled in a jiffy.

The bag contained Rs 16,000 cash and a cell phone apart from keys. She was walking home and could not see the robber’s face. The Habibganj police have registered a case of robbery and launched a hunt for the accused.

In another incident, a man was critically injured when attacked by a youth with knife. The complainant, Nirmal, 18, resident of Qainchi Chhola, was attacked by the accused, Azeem. The knife lodged into his ribs.

The accused meanwhile fled the spot. The condition of the injured youth continues to be serious. Both of them have an old rivalry and last year Nirmal had allegedly attacked Azeem. The Nishatpura police have registered a case against the accused, who is absconding.
