Woman SI commits suicide
In the second such instance within the last fortnight, a woman Sub-Inspector committed suicide at Vadakarai Near Nagamalai Pudukottai on Wednesday night.

In the second such instance within the last fortnight, a woman Sub-Inspector committed suicide at Vadakarai Near Nagamalai Pudukottai on Wednesday night.
Police said the 32-year-old SI, a divorcee, was living in a flat with her 10-year-old son.
She had taken a day off on Wednesday. Her son who returned from tuition found the bedroom locked and informed relatives, broke the door open and found her hanging from the ceiling fan.
In a 'suicide note', she requested that steps be taken to bring up her son well.
On December 23, a 33-year old woman SI had committed suicide at Manal Medu near Pudur.
