In a statement issued after addressing a press conference, Rasheed said that he will “gherao chief minister Omar Abdullah's residence and will not allow him to enter the civil secretariat on first day after the offices reopen in Srinagar”.

Rasheed alleged that the chief minister had not been able to take any action against any of the ministers involved in scandals and corruption charges.

Rasheed also slammed congress high command for being “least bothered in dealing with its ministers who are not only involved in corruption charges but also are playing with the lives of people of state by facilitating supply of spurious drugs”.

Rasheed demanded that a judicial commission be framed and records of all the major hospitals be revisited to ascertain the number of patients, who were given the spurious drugs, died due to the same.
