Workshop on Foreign Trade Policy

Jagannath International Management School (JIMS), Kalkaji, organised a national workshop on the New Foreign Trade Policy of India (2004–2009). Twenty-five participants from export and import business houses, export promotion organisations and consultancy organisations participated in the programme. The objective of the workshop was to deliberate on various provisions of the new policy. Speakers included experts from the government, consultancy organisations and banks.

National design camp
National Institute of Design (NID) conducted a pilot workshop in the form of a National Design Camp at its campus in collaboration with the British Council. The workshop explored the possibility of introducing design and creativity module as a part of school education. The workshop was participated by 15 teachers and an equal number of students from across the country. Apart from resource experts from NID, professionals from Britain and Japan were also present. Subsequently, based on the feedback of the schools followed by a discussion with the experts, a monograph on the introduction of design in school curriculum will be put forth by the NID.
