World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) experts have arrived here to rescue a Gangetic dolphin trapped in the receding waters of River Budhabalang at Kudimunda in Mayurbhanj district, a forest official said.

Officials had sighted two sweet water Gangetic dolphins, a highly endangered specie, in the river during the last monsoon. But one is missing for the last several days, while the other one was found trapped in insufficient water.

With the water level in the river expected to recede further in the days to come, the dolphin might face a serious situation.
