Despite all attempts, the teachers and the staff are unable to keep the trouble makers out of the department.
Upset over the trend, the Head of the Commerce department Prof Raj Shekhar on Friday wrote a letter to the AU Proctor Prof Jata Shankar apprising him of the development that is causing great inconvenience to the students as well as the teachers and has requested for his direct and immediate intervention.
On being contacted, AU Proctor Prof Jata Shankar confirmed receipt of the letter from Prof Raj Shekhar informing him about the entry of unidentified youths in the department between 8 am and 10.30 am when classes are held specially for girl students and during which entry of male students is prohibited in the department.
"I have received the letter today and will take necessary measures immediately.
We will be increasing security in the Commerce department especially during the morning hours when classes for the girls are being held with effect from Saturday itself.
No effort will be spared on the part of the Proctorial team to catch the youths causing the problem. We are determined to take necessary action against the culprits after catching them," Prof Jata Shankar said.
