Zimbabwe makes two changes for first ODI

Zimbabwe has brought all-rounder Sean Ervine and medium pacer Gary Brent into the side for the first of five one-dayers against West Indies.

Zimbabwe has brought all-rounder Sean Ervine and medium pacer Gary Brent into the side for the first of five one-day internationals against West Indies, team officials said on Thursday.

They will replace Stuart Carlisle and Blessing Mahwire, who have been out of form, in the series beginning on Saturday at the Queen's Sports Club.

West Indies won their two-match Test series 1-0, drawing the first when they were on the brink of losing and taking the second by bundling out Zimbabwe for 104 runs.

Two 50-overs matches are scheduled in Bulawayo this weekend, with three more to follow next week in the capital Harare. West Indies then move to South Africa for a four-Test tour.

Zimabwe: Heath Streak (capt), Vusi Sibands, Trevor Gripper, Mark Vermeulen, Craig Wishart, Stuart Matsikenyere, Sean Ervine, Tatenda Taibu, Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Gary Brent. 12th man Blessing Mahwire.
