The woman trainee had on Wednesday evening lodged a case with Aerodrome police against the instructor.
"The victim is willing to close the case. In next couple of days, we will record her statement under Section 164 CrPC and the case will be closed. The victim has also submitted a written application on Friday evening and said that she had registered a case over a minor dispute," said KL Dangi, thana in-charge (TI) Aerodrome police.
When Hindustan Times contacted the victim, she refused to talk over the issue and gave a number of his brother who also refused to come on record.
On Wednesday, a woman trainee pilot had lodged a complaint with Aerodrome police station alleging molestation by an instructor -- Tapan Bhuniya -- at Madhya Pradesh Flying Club. The trainee pilot, before lodging the case, had also written a letter to Mandar Mahajan, the chief flying instructor of Madhya Pradesh Flying Club.
On the basis of the complaint, police lodged a case against the instructor of club. The trainee pilot is a resident of Amravati in Maharashtra. The instructor was suspended immediately and a court of enquiry was ordered by Mahajan.
When contacted to the SP ( West ) Abid Khan said that he is not aware about the development in the case but if it is found that the victim has given a false statement, action will be taken against her as per the law.
"If she takes back her allegation of molestation, we will close the case after her statement under section 164 CrPC but another case of section 182 and 211 will be registered against the victim for giving false statement," said a senior police official.
