A 10-year-old girl, abducted by a suspected drug addict from a hospital in Kota on Friday following her mother’s death, was rescued a few hours later, police said on Saturday.
The accused, whose identity is yet to be ascertained, took Shalu with him from the Government Jay Kay Lon Hospital on Friday a few hours after her mother died, police said. The woman delivered a stillborn baby two days ago.

The girl was recovered by the Government Railway Police from Kota railway station on Friday evening, he said.
Shalu informed police that the accused took her to Lakheri railway station by a train but she got suspicious over the man’s motive and boarded a return train.
She also told police that after her mother died, the man took her with him for arranging money for the family.
Police officer Shivbhagwan said the accused’s face was identified through footage of security cameras installed in the hospital and a hunt was on to nab him.
