While 27-year-old serial offender Priya Seth often scouted for her next target through Tinder, she probably found something more.

During interrogation of a case involving the murder of a local businessman Dushyant Sharma, Seth and her boyfriend Dikshant Kamra (20) have revealed that they had plans of getting married to each other, police said.

Seth’s younger sister, however, did not approve of Kamra.

Seth and Kamra, along with Lakshya Walia (21), were arrested by the Jhotwara police on May 4 for the murder of 29-year-old Sharma.

The trio was produced before a local court on Tuesday, which sent them to 14 days’ judicial custody.

During interrogation police found number of interesting things about the trio.

“Seth had met Kamra through Tinder early in April and both had taken a strong liking to each other. Within a span of a few days, they decided to live together and took a flat on rent in Bajaj Nagar,” said a police official, who was part of the interrogation team.

“They also got each-other’s name tattooed on their arms. Seth realized that Kamra was smart and fearless, unlike her previous boyfriends and they got serious about each other,” the official said.

Kamra had told his mother about Seth, police said.

Seth’s younger sister met Kamra at the duo’s flat and she confided in her that she was thinking of settling down with Kamra. Her sister, however, did not approve of him, police said.

“Seth, like always, did things her own way and it didn’t matter to her about what her family said,” the official said.

Seth’s father, a professor of political science at a government college in Pali, had disowned her from his property in 2010 after she took to crime in order to make easy money.

Kamra was also not on good terms with his father, who is a school teacher. Four years back, Kamra, a resident of Padampur in Sri Ganganagar, had left for Delhi after completing his school education to try his hand at a modeling career.

He had later shifted to Mumbai. Kamra came to Jaipur in March end and stayed for a few days with Walia.

The two had studied in the same school in Ganganagar.

Walia, the only child to his parents, had lost his father a few years back. He was also trying to make a career in the showbiz industry.

While he stayed at a rented flat in Malviya Nagar, his mother has been living at her parent’s house in Ganganagar since her husband expired.

“Seth and Kamra never displayed any remorse for their actions though they blamed each other’s needs as the reason behind their plan to rob Sharma. They, however, never denied committing the crime or any aspect of it,” the police official said.

“Seth seemed convinced that she would get bail, just like she had got it in her previous crimes.”
