Rajasthan govt’s summit investment claims false: Congress

Former minister Shanti Dhariwal on Sunday dubbed the Vasundhara Raje-led BJP government’s investment claims as ‘false’, and claimed it was enumerating the agreements signed during the erstwhile Congress rule in Rajasthan.

The Congress leader claimed no investment would come to Rajasthan after the Resurgent Rajasthan Summit due to the government’s fake claims. “The MoUs of Chambal Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited (CFCL) worth Rs 5,200 crore were signed during the Congress rule, but the BJP government is showing them under its Resurgent Rajasthan Partnership Summit’s achievements,” he said.

This year, the Resurgent Rajasthan Partnership Summit was held at Jaipur on November 19 and 20.

Dhariwal was here to attend a District Congress Committee meeting to review the preparations for the demonstrations to be held on the second anniversary of the Vasundhara Raje government in the state. Congress co-Incharge of Kota Rama Bajaj, PCC general secretary Vikram Valmiki and other Congress leaders also present at the meeting.

The Congress leader asserted that every section of the society was disappointed with the BJP government’s rule in Rajasthan. “Still, the state government has enough time to work for the well-being of the people,” he said.
