Out of thirty-five, 16 people were referred to Jawahar Lal Nehru Hospital late on Wednesday evening in serious condition.

The deceased were identified as Sita Devi 35, her mother in-law Ramsukhi Devi and 7-year-old Sagar. The feast was organised on Tuesday night at Arniya Chauhan village at Tulsi Ram Khatik’s house on the third anniversary of his father’s death.

“Puri, mix-vegetable and laddu were prepared for the feast,” Deputy CMHO Bhilwara Dr Mushtaq Ahmed said.

Prima-facie, it can be assumed that the vegetable may have been contaminated.
