Two minors were killed in Rajasthan’s Dholpur district after a scuffle broke out between five siblings over some issue, police said on Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Jeeshan, aged around 17, and his sister Saniya (12), they said.

The incident took place on Wednesday evening at the residence of one Salim Qureshi in Dholpur’s Patpara area, police said, adding that he and his wife were not at home when the scuffle broke out.

Jeeshan stabbed Saniya over some issue, following which the other three siblings Farheen (16), Saddam (20) and Farah got involved, SHO of Kotwali police station Ramkesh Meena said.

The reason behind the fight is not yet known. It is also not clear how Jeeshan died. “We received information from neighbours about the scuffle,” he said.

Farheen and Saddam sustained injuries, while Farah remained unhurt, he added. The bodies of the deceased were handed over to their family after a post-mortem examination by a medical board, Meena said.
