Three more people were arrested on Friday for the vandalism at the Baker Laboratory and other departments of the Presidency University earlier this week.

Three more people were arrested on Friday for the vandalism at the Baker Laboratory and other departments of the Presidency University earlier this week.
"We have arrested three more persons. A total of five persons have been arrested," joint commissioner of police (Hq) c said in Kolkata.
Shamim, however, did not elaborate on the political affiliations of those arrested.
Persons reportedly carrying Trinamool Congress flags had vandalised Baker Laboratory and other departments, beat up some students and abused girl students. This was to protest the heckling of chief minister Mamata Banerjee and manhandling of finance minister Amit Mitra in Delhi on April 9.
