Buddhadev rules out any more sops on Singur

The West Bengal Govt ruled out any further sops on the Tata Motors issue, and said the stalemate could be resolved only if the opposition accepted the latest compensation package it has announced.

Talking tough, the West Bengal government on Friday night ruled out any further sops on the Tata Motors issue, and said the stalemate could be resolved only if the opposition accepted the latest compensation package it has announced.

"A solution can be found only if the opposition accepts the package made public on Sep 14 and based on the dialogue between the government and the opposition in the presence of the governor (Gopalkrishna Gandhi)," Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee said in a short statement.
