Delhi man arrested for molesting co-passenger on Kolkata-bound flight

Sanjay Kanad (50), a resident of Delhi, was arrested at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport here on Monday morning for allegedly molesting a female co-passenger on board a plane.

Sanjay Kanad and the woman, who are both residents of Delhi, had boarded the early morning flight to Kolkata.

“The female passenger complained to the flight staff mid-air that she had been molested by her co-passenger. We arrested the accused after the plane landed and a formal complaint was registered at the NSCBI airport police station,” Shivani Tiwari, assistant deputy commissioner of police (airport), said.

Kanad will be produced before a court later in the day.
