I work with a courier service agency and my office is on the fourth floor of the building.

Today, I suddenly heard cries of people in panic. As soon as I came out of my office I saw huge amounts of smoke in the corridor and flames leaping out from different corners.

I went straight to the elevator. The door was half-open but would not open fully. I tried to force it open but the door was so hot that my palm got burned. I had no other escape. I succeeded finally and entered.

The elevator stopped suddenly between the fourth and third floors and I cried out for help. I heard others shouting for help too. I kept on shouting but nobody had the time to listen to me.

Everyone was busy saving his own life. At that moment I felt that I would never meet my family members again. I prayed to God to save me from this death hole.

Perhaps, God heard and suddenly the elevator started going down again. Soon, it stopped on the third floor and the door opened.

I jumped out and saw people running towards a window and people pushing each other to get near the edge.

When my turn came, I climbed down with a ladder that was placed near the window. I don’t know how many were as lucky as me.
