"Bose is known for talking nonsense. We have repeatedly said we have no connection with the Maoists and we don't support their ideology or action," senior Trinamool Congress leader Saugata Roy told PTI.

Roy, who is also the Union minister of state for urban development, said Nandigram was a mass movement where the Maoists played no significant part.

"The movement (Nandigram) was led by Trinamool Congress, whereas in Lalgarh, the people's movement has been pushed towards the Maoists by some police action of the CPI(M)-led state government," he added.
