Nobel Peace Prize laureate and Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado warned that President Nicolas Maduro’s government is in its “final days” during an interview with Colombian broadcaster RCN from Oslo. Machado secretly left Venezuela despite a decade-long travel ban after spending more than a year in hiding. Although she missed the Nobel ceremony and was represented by her daughter, Machado said the end of Maduro’s rule would come “with or without negotiations.” Barred from running in last year’s election, she maintains the opposition won, citing ballot-level results rejected by Venezuelan authorities.
