“Congress had earlier also contested on all 25 Lok Sabha seats and will continue to do so. The coming elections are important and the Congress is not fighting to form government but against the forces that have weakened constitutional institutions,” he said.

Regarding candidate selection, Pilot said the selection of candidate would be done on the basis of feedback of party workers, hard work and winnability. “The screening committee meeting [for candidate selection] will be held on March 8...,” he added.

Hitting out at the BJP, he said, “I believe BJP in the state has no leadership. Be it their Leader of Opposition or state president, they aren’t very active. I am confident that Congress will get good results in the elections.”

“The Congress is misguiding people. BJP is committed towards patriotism and nationalism, for us first is nation than organisation,” he said.
