Lok Sabha 2019 constituency: East Delhi seat is one of the largest in Delhi
The BJP’s Maheish Girri defeated the Aam Aadmi Party leader Rajmohan Gandhi by more than 190,400 votes to win the seat in the 2014 Lok Sabha election. The AAP’s Atishi Marlena will contest from the seat this year.
The East Delhi parliamentary constituency, one of the seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi, was won by the Bharatiya Janata Party in the general election in 2014.

Sandeep Dikshit, the son of Congress leader Sheila Dikshit, had won the East Delhi seat in the general election in 2009.
Voting will be held in East Delhi on May 12 in the sixth phase of the general election. The results of the seven-round Lok Sabha election 2019 will be declared on May 23.
