‘Time for Namo Namo over, time for Bhim now’: Mayawati jabs PM Modi
“Be it Yogi or Sadhvi, nothing is working for the BJP; Narendra Modi has suddenly started talking about the backwards and Dalits. The time for Namo Namo has gone, Bhim will rule now,” she said.
Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati on Wednesday dared Prime Minister Narendra Modi to end reservation if he had the courage.

“Reservation was a gift from Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar. How can they think even of ending reservation to backwards and Dalits,” she said in Ramaipur in Kanpur Dehat adding, “It is beyond Narendra Modi to do away with reservation. He is not backward by birth either.”
She said the BJP was troubled by the ground reports that were emerging at the end of the first three phases of elections. “The alliance has done extremely well and the performance will continue in the remaining phases as well. The BJP has been trying to polarise the elections but the alliance has been one up. The counter measures checkmated the BJP’s plan and as a result the party has brought a Sadhvi in Madhya Pradesh.”
“Be it Yogi or Sadhvi, nothing is working for the BJP; Narendra Modi has suddenly started talking about the backwards and Dalits. The time for Namo Namo has gone, Bhim will rule now,” she said.
The BJP would be out of power due to RSS and the hatred it pushed in five years of misrule, she said.
She said stray cattle had ruined the farmers and crops across the state. The state government was keeping the bahujan samaj out of its policies because of its casteist approach, she said adding that Dalits are not being employed under their quota in government jobs and the BJP, like the Congress, had blocked jobs for them in private sector.
Mayawati said the BJP used the Enforcement Directorate and the Central Bureau of Investigation to threaten political opponents. “We should not let either the Congress or the BJP come to power,” she said adding, “the Congress only knows how to take the vote of bahujan samaj but never returns the favour.”
