Akhilesh hints at cabinet reshuffle in UP

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday indicated that the cabinet and the administrative changes might take place soon to spruce things up in the state. HT reports.

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday indicated that the cabinet and the administrative changes might take place soon to spruce things up in the state.

He dropped the hints while replying to media questions after receiving relief cheques for the Uttarakhand victims at Lal Bahadur Shastri Bhawan Annexe here.

On Wednesday, he dissolved all caste-based cells in the Samajwadi Party and declared that changes would happen as and when required.

“Change is a constant process. We will make changes if necessary- Changes often prove beneficial,” the chief minister told newspersons, adding, “You have come to know about these changes. This is probably why you have asked the question.” He said the cells had been dissolved in accordance with the party constitution.
