Hundreds of residents of Alambagh gheraoed Chander Nagar substation demanding immediate restoration of power supply.
According to sources, this was for 32nd time that this high-tension powerline broke down in the last two months. Allegedly, despite repeated snags, Madhyanchal officials have not taken any step to replace the cables.
Reportedly, LESA officials were unable to detect the fault till late night or confirm when power supply could be restored in the area. “Engineers are on their job and Alambagh supply would resume soon,” said LESA GM M Singhal.
