Abhinav Tiwari, a second year student at Goel Institute of Management and Technology, was beaten by his three classmates and their aides yesterday, they said.

The accused later dumped Tiwari at a secluded place near Indira canal from where he was rushed to Lohia hospital after being spotted by some persons, police said.

An FIR had been lodged against the students, Saurabh Mishra, Deepak Tiwari and Prashant Singh, they said.
