HC fixes next hearing in Taj Corridor case on July 29

The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court fixed July 29 as the next date of hearing, on Thursday, on a PIL challenging a special court's order to drop proceedings against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati in multi-crore Taj Corridor case.

The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court fixed July 29 as the next date of hearing, on Thursday, on a PIL challenging a special court's order to drop proceedings against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati in multi-crore Taj Corridor case.

A division bench comprising Justice Pradeep Kant and Justice Sabeehul Hushain fixed the date of hearing on PILs challenging the special court's June 5, 2007 order of dropping proceedings against the BSP chief and her Cabinet colleague Naseemuddin Siddiqui.

The petitioners of these PILs sought quashing of the order of the special court.
