SP (city) Atul Shrivastva told HT, ” To maintain peace, Hindu Mahasabha state president Dr Puja Shakun has been detained in her house. Nobody will be allowed to mar peace and create law and order problems in Kasganj at all”.

To recall, Dr Shakun had succeeded in visiting slain youth Chandan’s family in Kasganj on Sunday, skirting security. She rode on the scooter of an activist and reached the town through lanes and by lanes. As it was expected that she may go to Kasganj again on Monday, the district and police administration put her under preventative detention.

Dr Puja Shakun has alleged that the police have threatened Chandan’s family and so they are not opening their mouths. “The government has made the situation in Kasganj like Kashmir,” she said.
