The death has enveloped the institute in grief while it was busy preparing for the foundation day celebration that is falling on December 14. Strangely, Saurabh died just a few days before his first marriage anniversary, which too falls on December 14.

Police reached the residence of the doctor following an alarm raised by an attendant of Resident Doctors Residences.

The attendant had reached to serve tea to Saurab, but he raised alarm when there was no response from the bedroom that was latched from inside. Police forcibly opened the door and found Saurabh's body hanging from ceiling through a towel. Saurabh was in final year of his MD (post graduation) in Radiology. He was King George's Medical University alumni of 1998 MBBS batch.
