Lucknow metro start possible in August second week

Once the Lucknow metro receives much awaited technical clearance of its rolling stock (metro train) from the commissioner, railway safety, the decks would be cleared for the operations .

The much awaited survey of commissioner, metro rail safety, Susheel Kumar Pandey for the commercial run of Lucknow Metro started on Thursday.

The first run of the metro is expected before August 10.

Pandey started the survey of Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) track from Transport Nagar to Charbagh on Thursday. He will continue his survey on Friday too .

According to LMRC officials, the first run of the metro is expected before August 10.

The Lucknow Metro rolling stock (metro train) has been given approval by the ministry of railways to operate at a maximum speed of 80 km/hr on June 8 but the survey was awaited to get the metro rolling for the common man.

The LMRC had submitted its paper to the commissioner, railway safety (CRS) on March 30 this year but its survey started on Thursday.

Once the commissioner gives its report to the ministry of railways, the commercial run of the metro will start within a few days.
