Now, passport app to make verification process simpler in Lucknow

With the help of an application, M-Passport Police App, designed by the ministry of external affairs, the regional passport office, Lucknow, has decided to simplify the police verification process and cut down the process from 20 days to four –five days.

With the help of an application, M-Passport Police App, designed by the ministry of external affairs, the regional passport office, Lucknow, has decided to simplify the police verification process and cut down the process from 20 days to four –five days.

Regional passport officer, Pyush Varma, informed that with the help of this app cops would scan documents of an applicant using a smart phone or a tab. They would also be able to click an applicant’s photograph and obtain his digital signature.

At present post office passport sewa kendras are operational in five districts: Allahabad, Faizabad, Jhansi, Ghazipur and Deoria.

Soon, this service would be available in 15 more districts:

Amethi, Azamgarh, Bahraich, Ballia, Balrampur, Barabanki, Basti, Gonda, Jaunpur, Kushinagar, Mau, Sitapur, Pratapgarh, Rae Bareli and Unnao.
