The UP Congress election committee will hold its second meeting to scan the names of aspirants for the elections in 403 seats.

Party sources said names of some 70 to 80 candidates could be declared later in July.

The meeting to be chaired by UP Pradesh Congress chief Rita Bahuguna Joshi will also be attended by Congress incharge of UP affairs Digvijaya Singh, all party MPs and legislators from the state, they said.

The first meeting of the election committee was held of June 7.
