An after-workout video has garnered over 14 million views and has been shared 169,189 times. Not because it shows off someone’s strong and toned torso or gives tips to lose those extra pounds in five minutes.

California based Angel Bermudez’s 50-second video is going viral because of his unusual muscle cramp. The video shows him sitting in his car with his right leg resting on the window, when his calf starts spasming as if it were alive.

“After the workout. Start to relax and then this happens. Fucken cramp. Look at this shit. Painful yes it was,” writes Bermudez in the post. He is writhing in pain as he can be heard moaning, ‘ oh my god it wont stop’ in the video. Watching Bermudez’s cramp will make you squirm in your seat, as it seems like something is almost about to crawl out of his skin.

People flooded him with sympathy and tips, some inquiring if the cramp was better. He was advised to stay hydrated and stretch, others suggested he eat “a bunch of bananas”.

One user, Donnianne Noble, remarked how the cramp should give Bermudez an idea of what women go through during labour.

Mike Musacco was amazed that he could manage to film the video amidst the pain.

Yet another user, Jennifer Turner Romo, suggested he apply mustard on the cramp, as many women use it to treat arthritis.

According to WebMD, “A muscle cramp is a strong, painful contraction or tightening of a muscle that comes on suddenly and lasts from a few seconds to several minutes” While it is difficult to know the exact cause, muscle cramps are often happen because of dehydration or a lack of minerals in the blood.
