Egg in a mug: This can be your new favourite go-to morning meal

Here’s how to get your daily dose of protein with fuss-free, five-minute recipes.

We know it’s important to get our fill of protein in the morning. But having a boiled egg everyday can be very boring. Fret not! We make the process of cooking a protein-rich meal exciting, fun and easy. These egg-mug recipes will take around five minutes to put together! Go ahead and try them!

Mug omelette

In a mug, add two eggs, a tbsp of milk, chopped tomatoes, chopped onions, grated cheese and salt and pepper. Mix this well and microwave for 2 minutes.

Add boiling water in a mug. Break an egg into it. Don’t stir and microwave for two minutes. Let the egg rest for five minutes. Now with a strainer, take it out carefully and place it over a slice of toasted bread.

Egg sandwich

Mix egg, milk and maple syrup in a mug. Then add bread pieces and press down until coated with the mixture. Add chocolate chips and give it a little stir. Microwave for a minute and 20 seconds or until firm in the centre.

In a microwave-proof mug, add flour, baking powder, baking soda, very little coffee powder and salt. Mix well; now add two full eggs, milk, oil and cheese. Mix again. Now microwave for two minutes and treat yourself.

Scrambled egg
In a mug, add two eggs and beat well. Now add cheddar cheese or sliced cheese and chopped onions. Microwave for a minute and dig directly into it with a fork. You can also spread this over a slice of toasted bread.
