But, not for maverick chef Ritu Dalmia, who like a magician, can put together party worthy dishes almost instantly. On Day 2 of HT City Culinary Fest, the chef shows us how popular Indian street food can be turned into cool and quirky party charmers. The chef believes that tikkis can be a lot of fun if you give them a glam, creative spin.

“No tikki, no fun. It’s a great item to serve at a party, but is often overlooked. With a bit of imagination, you can create a glam, modern version of tikkis paired with petite burger,” she says. Dalmia presents her innovative recipe of scrumptious Sabudana Sliders which give a sophisticated twist to your regular tikkis. Crunchy sabudana tikkis paired with mini burgers bring to you the perfect blend of modernity and tradition.

“This recipe is fun, easy to make and also gives you an Instagram worthy dish. I have kept it pretty simple by using fresh ingredients which are easily available throughout the year.” Read on as the chef shows you how to create a stellar party dish in 10 minutes. Serve the sliders with a tamarind dip and leave your guests impressed.
