Industrialist Gautam Singhania loves taking one of his many high-end cars out for a spin; and when he's not driving, he's relaxing at his farmhouse in Alibaug.
What’s a typical weekend like?
Mostly, I spend my weekends either racing or with my family at our farmhouse in Alibaug.
Favourite car to drive on weekends?
It depends. I take all of them out one by one.
Super cars or luxury yachts?
I think there are different strokes for different folks.
Dine out, order in, or cook a meal on weekends?
I’m more of a dine-in person. If I’m at the farm house, I definitely eat at home.
Can cook a five-course meal/make a sandwich/boil water/don’t know how the gas works.
I’m not that bad. I can whip up breakfast. I make good eggs.
On weekends, we’ll catch you wearing?
If I’m racing, my race suit. If I’m at the farm, it is usually T-shirts and shorts.
On weekends: work out like it’s just another day/go easy/exercise…what’s that?
I’ve not been to the gym for a bit but I need to get back.
Party till dawn or wake up for yoga at dawn?
I avoid partying and, with my racing, it has become very difficult. But once in a while, when I do party, I have a great time.
One thing that can make or break your weekend?
My weekend is what I choose it to be. It could be work, it could be anything. I don’t let anything ruin it.
Street food that makes your day...
I completely avoid all of that. I’m an extremely disciplined eater.
Suits or casuals?
I’m as comfortable in suits as I am in casuals. Depends on the occasion.
