Review: Rafoo Chakkar

Honestly, this is too much space, too, devoured by a movie which should take its title seriously and go Rafoo Chakkar, writes Khalid Mohamed.

Okay, here’s Rafoo Chakram, Chakkar, whatever. And it’s about Aslam Khan and Yudhishtir who aren’t likely to ever win Best Actor National Awards. They’re rich brats just like the nutzoids in Aankhen (by David Dhawan, Pahlaj Nihalani, whoever). And they’re on the run and meet up with Nauheed Cyrusi and Nisha Rawal. How you wish they hadn’t.

Because then you could have taken Aslam and Yudhishtir to a doctor. Are they suffering from high fever, body ache or malaria? And you would have also taken director B H Tharun Kumar to the clinic for assigning Mita Vashishth and Archana Puran Singh their most horrendous roles yet.

In fact, you don’t know why these two actresses agreed to be presented as “45-year-old hags”, who need grooms immediately, for one of those absurd reasons which could happen only in a reprehensibly chauvinistic no-brainer.

Honestly, this is too much space, too, devoured by a movie which should take its title seriously and go Rafoo Chakkar.. with immediate effect. Please?
