Two brothers have been arrested for the murder of a 23-year-old woman nine years ago.

The accused, husband of the victim Akhtar Aziz Gazi, 29, is an autorickshaw driver while the other accused his brother Bablu, 30, does odd jobs.
On 23 June, 2007, Akhtar and Bablu returned home at Manpada in Thane around 9.30pm after work when the victim Sabina started to quarrel with them.
Nitin Thackeray, senior inspector from Thane said, “Sabina was upset that they were not earning enough to run the household.”
Babu then strangled Sabina while his brother helped him, said the officer. The brothers had been on the run but the police came to know about their whereabouts two days ago and nabbed them.
