2 developers dupe 49-year-old man of Rs1.9 crore, booked
According to the complainant, he had booked a flat on the eighth floor of the developers’ under-construction building in 2015 and had paid them Rs1.9 crore for it.
The police have booked two directors of a construction company for allegedly duping a 49-year-old man of Rs1.9 crore, on the pretext of selling him a flat by 2016 in Andheri (East).
According to the complainant, he had booked a flat on the eighth floor of the developers’ under-construction building in 2015 and had paid them Rs1.9 crore for it. The duo had promised to give him possession of the flat by 2016.
However, the complainant alleged that the building continues to be under-construction till date, owing to which, the developers have not give him the possession. “The directors had given a signed note stating that if the possession of the flat is not given to me in stipulated time, they will pay the interest on the bank loan I had taken. But they did not do so,” the complainant told HT.
“We have registered a case and now probing the case further,” a police officer from Andheri police station said.
