2 traffic cops injured in Pune-Mumbai Expressway accident

Three people, including two traffic police constables, were injured after a speeding car hit them on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway on Thursday.
According to the Lonavala police, Rekha Shah, a resident of Pimpri, was driving her Swift Desire from Mumbai to Pune when she lost control over the steering wheel and hit Shivanand Mosalgi and Kailas Kadam, both traffic police constables, and Chandrakant Shinde, who was inside the vehicle, near Malavali overbridge on the Expressway.
Shah was later arrested by the police.
The police said both the constables were shooting vehicles that were speeding and cutting lanes when Shah’s car hit them.
The cops, who sustained leg injuries, were taken to Pavana hospital near Somatane. Their condition is reportedly stable, said the police.
