27-year-old man arrested in Delhi for stealing from singer Mika Singh’s Mumbai residence
Delhi police said they have recovered $6,900, ₹50,000 and ₹5 lakh from three different bank accounts, which belong to the accused.
The Delhi police on Tuesday night arrested a 27-year-old man, who allegedly stole money and gold from singer Mika Singh’s residence.

Police in a statement said that they raided possible hideouts and arrested Ankit Vasan from Vikaspuri in Delhi.
According to a statement by Delhi police, Vasan confessed to stealing cash and valuables regularly from the singer.
They said that on being noticed by Singh, on July 29, he fled the studio and hid in Mumbai for two days. He reached Delhi on July 31. Before he fled, he also destroyed the CCTV footage, said Mumbai police sources.
Delhi police said they have recovered $6,900, ₹50,000 and ₹5 lakh from three different bank accounts, which belong to the accused.
They also recovered the studio’s keys from him.
Kirti Nagar police station house officer (SHO), Anil Sharma, confirmed the arrest and said a team of Mumbai police has reached Delhi to take custody of Vasan.
The robbery took place on Sunday afternoon, when Vasan, who has been a sound editor for the singer, for the last 15 years, went to Singh’s residence.
Mumbai police suspect that the theft happened post 2pm as that is the time when Vasan went in. According to the initial complaint, Vasan allegedly stole one lakh rupees in cash and gold worth rupees two lakh.
