Cops nab two men with stolen electronics worth ₹2.5 lakh
The police found 17 electronic items, including laptops and mobile phones, inside the accused’s bag.
A team of patrolling policemen from the MIDC police station arrested two men in Andheri (East) on Wednesday evening for stealing electronic goods worth Rs2.5 lakh.

Police stopped the men, Mohammad Salim Mohammad Khalil Shaikh, 23, and Mohammad Aslam Mohammad Javed Shaikh, 20, near Andheri pump house after finding their movements suspicious. They found 17 electronic items, including laptops and mobile phones, inside their bag.
When the police asked them where the valuables had come from, they lied. However, police found their answers inconsistent during sustained questioning. The two finally admitted to robbing a mobile shop in Bandra (West).
The MIDC police made enquiries with the Bandra police and found that a local shop had been robbed.
The accused will be handed over to the Bandra police station, where an FIR has been registered against them.
