The residents of Makers Towers (A wing) in Cuffe Parade said that their internal fire fighting system came handy and the response of fire brigade was excellent.

Two servants were killed and seven people were injured as a fire broke out in the duplex flat early on Tuesday.
Speaking to HT, one woman resident said, “The fire fighters said there are two versions as what caused the fire. Some say short circuit while others blame a cylinder or an AC blast. I live on the sixth floor of the building. As soon as the fire started, the security called up the fire brigade and the fire alarms were put on. The fire brigade did an excellent job.”
“We regularly check the fire fighting system. It was in a 100% working condition. It helped the fire brigade too. This is not the first time a fire started here. But, I think, this is the first time that someone has died.”
Another resident from the upscale building said, “Our fire fighting system was in place and helped the fire brigade who did a good job.”
