Dombivli man found dead with throat slit

A 49-year-old businessman was found murdered with his throat slit in his car at Dombivli on Friday.

Satish Rasal used to provide JCBs on hire and was a resident of Nilje village at Manpada.
The car was found near Galaxy furniture shop on Kalyan-Shil road in Manpada, which is hardly a few feet from his office.
The distance between Rasal office’s and his house is one kilometre.
On Thursday, Rasal was driving back home in his SUV around 10pm when he was attacked.
After killing him, the accused left the body near the driver’s seat and fled.
A police officer from Manpada police station said: “Rasal’s wife went to bed, thinking he might be working till late. She said she came to know about the incident on Friday morning.”
He is survived by his wife and three daughters.
“In the morning, we got a call from an autorickshaw driver who saw a blood-covered Rasal on the driver’s seat. We reached the spot around 9.30am. We sent the body for post-mortem. He was stabbed three to four times on the neck and his throat was slit,” said the police officer.
Rasal was well known in Nilje village, he added.
The police officer said, “We have not found any weapon from the spot. We are yet to talk to his wife who is in shock.”
The Manpada police have charged unknown person under section 302 (punishment for murder) of the Indian Penal Code.
