Mumbai commuters hassled as rail fracture on CR delays suburban services

The slow local trains will be affected, as the rail fracture will lead to bunching of the trains.

A rail fracture between Bhandup and Kanjurmarg was reported on Saturday at 12.10pm on the down slow line. The slow local train services were diverted on the fast track till Mulund.

The slow local trains will be affected, as the rail fracture will lead to bunching of the trains.

Railway officials said the rail fracture was rectified at 12.38pm. Four slow local trains were diverted to fast tracks. The local trains on the slow lines are operating with a delay of 30 minutes.

Sunil Udasi, chief public relation officer, Central Railway (CR), said, “The rail fracture occurred at 12.10pm on the slow line. The fracture was rectified by 12.38pm, and slow local trains were diverted on fast lines”
