Mumbai city news: According to the police, the man assaulted them whenever he found any of them alone at home.
The Sewree police recently arrested a 47-year-old man for allegedly raping his daughters, aged 10 and 17, multiple times.

According to the police, the accused is a labourer and has been the sole guardian of the children after his wife died nine years ago.
The man, also a drunkard, raped both his daughters multiple times in the past few months. He assaulted them whenever he found any of them alone at home, said the police. “Last week one of the victims mustered courage and approached a woman from the neighbourhood who brought them to us. We immediately arrested the man,” said an official.
On the night of June 25, an FIR against rape was registered under the Indian Penal Code for rape and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. The accused was arrested the next day. He was initially remanded to police custody by aspecial POCSO Act court.
A police official said that the girls underwent medical tests. “They are with their relatives now. Since they are underage, the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) will decide about their custody. They may be sent to a shelter home,” he added.
