According to the Disaster Management Unit, the 48-inche Tansa water pipeline burst around 6am and litres of water have been wasted. This led to major flooding in the area . The water department has started repairing the pipeline. The south-bound traffic on BA Road has been diverted because of the burst and the ongoing repair work. According to the civic officials, if repair work does not get completed by today, then entire Dadar and Matunga will have to face water cut. This is third such damage to the century-old Tansa pipeline.
