Raj Thackeray’s son Amit to marry Mumbai-based fashion designer soon

The couple will get engaged today in a family function at Raj Thackeray’s residence, Krishna Kunj in Dadar.

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray’s son Amit Thackeray is all set to tie the knot with Mitali Borude, a fashion designer from Mumbai.

The couple will get engaged today in a family function at Raj Thackeray’s residence, Krishna Kunj in Dadar.

Borude, a close friend of Thackeray’s daughter Urvashi, had together launched a ready to wear label — ‘The Rack’ few years back.

Raj Thackeray has shied away from launching his 25-year-old son, unlike arch-rival and cousin, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, who ensured son Aditya Thackeray’s debut in a grand way, in 2010.

However, Amit Thackeray, a commerce graduate from Ruparel college, who had campaigned for the MNS in the 2014 assembly polls in the shadow of his father, is likely to enter politics soon.

Raj Thackeray, nephew of late Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray, broke away from the political party and formed his own, MNS in 2006.

Today, the MNS is facing a do-or-die battle plagued by

low morale as well as defections among the leaders and workers.

To revive its prospects, Raj Thackeray had recently launched an aggressive campaign against illegal hawkers in Mumbai , besides reviving his old ‘son of the soil’ plank.
